Comprehensive Asthma, COPD and Foundational Health Education
Welcome to the Pear Healthcare Solutions Inc. Comprehensive Asthma, COPD and Foundational Health Education (replaces Patient Education).
Congratulations on your decision to pursue your Certified Respiratory Educator (CRE) designation. After successful completion of this program you will be qualified to write the Canadian Network for Respiratory Care (CNRC) CRE exam. For more information, please visit the CNRC website at http://cnrchome.net/.
This program consists of three major sections:
- Asthma (click here for Asthma course outline)
- COPD (click here for COPD course outline)
- Foundational Health Education(click here for FHE course outline)
The objectives utilized to develop this program are congruent with those outlined in the Canadian Network for Respiratory Care (CNRC) National Learning Objectives for Respiratory Educators. These are the same learning objectives that are used to guide development of the CRE exam conducted by the CNRC.
Each major section of education is further divided into a number of learning modules for easy navigation through the program. Each module contains multiple choice questions and/or demonstration objectives that will assess comprehension of the course material as you complete the modules. A grade of 70% or higher on the questions contained in each major section of the program is required for you to successfully complete the program. The demonstration objectives will be assessed using a pass/fail system and constructive feedback will be provided by qualified evaluators.
You will receive a final certificate in the mail once you have completed and passed the entire program.
