Overview
This program contains education which focuses on motivational interviewing, smoking cessation intervention which is based on the 5As approach, strategies for smoking cessation counselling and development of a quit smoking action plan. As the health professional that patients interact with the most, pharmacists are uniquely placed to help individuals with their quit smoking journey. This program entails three self-study modules:

Module 1: Approaches to Helping Patients Navigate the Quit-Smoking Journey

Module 2: Clarifying the Health Risks of Smoking and the Benefits of Quitting

Module 3: Planning for Success in the Preparation and Action Stages of Smoking Cessation
