Comprehensive Tobacco Educator Program
The Comprehensive Tobacco Educator Program has been developed for health professionals who wish to develop their knowledge and skills in the management of tobacco use disorder. The program has been developed by faculty with experience in this area, and has been accredited by the Canadian Council on Continuing Education in Pharmacy (CCCEP). Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are awarded upon successful completion of the programs as follows:   

The objectives utilized to develop this program are congruent with those outlined in the Canadian Network for Respiratory Care (CNRC) National Learning Objectives for Certified Tobacco Educators.  These are the same learning objectives that are used to guide development of the CTE exam conducted by the CNRC.

The Comprehensive Tobacco Educator program has also been accredited by the Canadian Network for Respiratory Care (CNRC). Therefore participants who successfully complete the program are eligible to challenge the certification exam if they have also completed a CNRC accredited program in health education.

  • Tobacco Education Workbook from the Canadian Network for Respiratory Care (CNRC).
  • Foundational Health Education Workbook from the Canadian Network for Respiratory Care (CNRC)
