Effective Conversations to Support Patients During Medication Switches: A Focus on Biosimilars (Recorded Webinar)
Overview
This program will help you understand the nocebo effect and how it can impact treatment outcomes for your patients. The nocebo effect occurs when a patient has a negative expectation of treatment that subsequently leads to a perceived negative treatment outcome. This program is focused on the difficulties that can occur when patients switch medications, with specific examples focused on the switch to a biosimilar drug. Pharmacists will learn how to communicate with patients about medication switches and how to support them in getting the optimal treatment outcomes.
