Overview
Over the past number of years, live, attenuated varicella-zoster vaccine has been available to Canadians for shingles prophylaxis. With the introduction of a new non-live, recombinant, adjuvanted vaccine, there is now a second option for shingles prevention. This program has been created to assist you in helping your patients understand the value of shingles vaccine and to make an informed decision when choosing one of the two vaccine options.
